The ReNewport grant program, administered by the NEDC, continues to transform downtown Newport one storefront at a time. The matching grant program provides up to $2,500 for exterior improvements to commercial properties in the downtown district.

Since its launch, the program has funded improvements to over 25 properties, including new paint, signage, awnings, windows, and landscaping. "The visual impact has been remarkable," said NEDC Director Jon Chadwell.
