The City of Newport announced plans to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at several locations including downtown, City Hall, and near major highways. The initiative is funded through a combination of federal infrastructure grants and local investment.

"This positions Newport as a forward-thinking community on the Future I-57 corridor," said Mayor Ratliffe.
