The Newport Economic Development Commission announced new grant funding available to small businesses in Newport and Jackson County impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants, funded through federal CARES Act dollars and state economic recovery programs, provide up to $10,000 for eligible businesses.

Eligible expenses include rent, utilities, payroll, PPE, and modifications needed to comply with health guidelines. Applications are available at the NEDC office, 209 Hazel Street, or by contacting (870) 523-1043.
