Several community organizations partnered to host a drive-through food distribution event at the Newport Community Center, providing free groceries to Jackson County residents in need. Over 500 families received boxes of fresh produce, meat, dairy, and shelf-stable food items.

The distribution was organized by the Arkansas Foodbank, local churches, and community volunteers in response to increased food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
