Downtown Newport transformed into a winter wonderland for the annual Downtown Christmas celebration. The evening began with the lighting of the community Christmas tree at the town square, followed by caroling, hot chocolate, and visits with Santa Claus.

Local shops on Main Street and Front Street stayed open late for holiday shopping, offering special discounts and refreshments. The event was organized by D.R.I.V.E. and the Chamber of Commerce with support from local businesses.
