Hundreds gathered in downtown Newport for the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony. The parade featured floats from local businesses, school groups, churches, and civic organizations, followed by the lighting of the community Christmas tree at the town square.

Santa Claus made a special appearance for photos with children, and carolers performed holiday favorites.
