The annual Back to School Bash provided free school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, and health screenings to hundreds of Newport and Jackson County students preparing for the new school year. The event was held at the Newport Community Center.

Partners included Newport School District, ASU-Newport, Unity Health, local churches, and businesses. "Making sure every child starts the school year prepared and confident is a community effort," said one organizer.
